Ica

Located 300 Km south of Lima  it si well-now as the pisco and wine capital in PerĂº.  Also is an important producer of cotton.

Ica lies between the towns of Paracas and Nazca, perfect for making excursions, on one side, to the Ballestas Islands and the Paracas National Reserve, extremely rich in marine life, or on the other side, to overfly the enigmatic Nazca Lines.

Nazca Infomation

About 2500 years ago, Cahuachi, the first town in Peru, was established on the banks of the Rio Grande, in Nazca province. This settlement eventually became the pre-Inca civilization of Nazca, where the villagers were outstanding warriors, merchants and fishermen, but worked mainly in ceramics (classified as the Best Ceramic Painters in pre-Columbian America).

The Nasca lines are geoglyphs and geometric line clearings in the Peruvian desert. They were made by the Nasca people,  The desert itself runs for over 1,400 miles along the Pacific Ocean.

 This lines became in a mystery because people find difficult to belive about a group or primitive "Indians" could have had the intelligence,  to conceive of such a project, much less the technology, the tools to made it real. But the evidence of . The Aztecs, the Toltecs, the Inca, the Maya, etc., are proof enough that the Nasca did not need extraterrestrial help to create their art gallery in the desert
